In defense of AI

I recently started experimenting with AI photo enhancement after seeing what some other people have been able to do with some of their old photos. I'm using ChatGPT to see what it can do with my pictures. My first effort was a photo in very por condition of my great-great grandfather Harvey Annis, who was lost when the riverboat SS Sultana exploded near Memphis in 1865. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Next I tried updating a photo of Harvey's daughter-in-law, Lizzie Campbell, and her sister, Matie Campbell. The original photo was torn in half so the restoraion is even more impressive.
