New Discoveries
In the past week I have found documents identifying several
ancestors previously unknown to me. They include:
- Baptismal record for Benjamin Vessey, the son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Vessey of Besthorpe, Nottinghamshire, 09 Jul 1787. (my 3rd great grandfather)
- Marriage record for Benjamin Vessey & Elizabeth Booker both of Besthorpe, Nottinghamshire, 12 May 1783 (my 4th great grandparents)
- Marriage record for Benjamin Vessey & Elizabeth Skelton both of Marnham, Nottinghamshire, 25 Dec 1755 (my 5th great grandparents)
- Christening record for Elizabeth Skelton, daughter of John and Elizabeth Skelton of High Pavement, Nottinghamshire, 29 Oct 1730
- Baptismal record for Mary Beckle [Bridge] (my 3rd great grandmother), daughter of James and Mary Beckle of Stratton, Cornwall, England, 14 Aug 1808
On the downside, I learned that the Mexican archives related
to Jennie Evdokimoff and all Russion colonists in Guadalupe Valley were shipped
to Mexicali in 1908 when the state capital of Baja moved there. They may still
exist but I won’t be able to search for them when I go to Ensenada next month.
